As a Gift Shop Associate, you will be responsible for assisting customers, maintaining inventory, and ensuring the smooth operation of the gift shop. Your primary goal is to create a positive shopping experience for customers and contribute to the overall success of the gift shop.

The ideal candidate is someone who is friendly, customer service oriented, and pays close attention to detail.


  • Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding products.

  • Actively promote and upsell products to maximize sales.

  • Process transactions accurately and handle cash, credit, and other forms of payment.

  • Receive, unpack, and stock merchandise on shelves.

  • Monitor and maintain appropriate inventory levels.

  • Conduct regular inventory counts and report discrepancies.

  • Ensure the gift shop is visually appealing and well-organized.

  • Arrange and display products to attract customers.

  • Create eye-catching displays to highlight promotions and featured items.​

  • Perform routine cleaning tasks, including dusting shelves, vacuuming, and organizing displays - always keeping the gift shop clean and organized.

  • Collaborate with other team members to achieve common goals and assist in training new staff members when required.

  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and your supervisor.



  • Previous retail experience is desirable, but not required. 

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Basic math skills for processing transactions.

  • Attention to detail and organizational skills.


Gift Shop Associates work in a retail environment. This involves standing for long periods, lifting heavy boxes, handling cash transactions, and interacting with customers.
