We are seeking a skilled and efficient Line Cook to join our kitchen team during dinner service. The Line Cook will be responsible for preparing food items in accordance with recipes and standards, maintaining a clean work environment, and ensuring that orders are prepared accurately and on time. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, work well under pressure, and have a passion for delivering high-quality meals.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook menu items following standardized recipes and presentation guidelines
Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies, ingredients, and equipment before each shift
Work quickly and efficiently to fulfill orders, coordinating with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service
Follow portion control guidelines to minimize waste and maintain cost control
Maintain cleanliness and organization of your station and the overall kitchen during and after shifts
Follow food safety, sanitation, and hygiene regulations, including proper storage and handling of ingredients
Assist with food prep, such as chopping vegetables, preparing sauces, and marinating proteins
Assist with inventory management by informing supervisors of low stock or needed supplies
Handle kitchen equipment safely
Help with kitchen closing duties, including cleaning equipment, taking out the trash, and restocking for the next day
Qualifications:
Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays
Previous experience as a Line Cook or in a similar role preferred
Knowledge of food preparation techniques, kitchen equipment, and safety standards
Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume, fast-paced kitchen environment
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions accurately
Ability to stand for long periods and handle heavy lifting
Understanding of food safety and sanitation regulations (e.g., ServSafe certification is a plus)
