We are seeking a Restaurant Food Runner to join our team. In this position, you’ll manage our breakfast buffet, ensuring it is always stocked with fresh food and replenished as needed, as well as keeping the buffet area tidy at all times.
Responsibilities:
Ensure buffet stations are stocked with fresh food and replenished as needed
Maintain proper food presentation, ensuring dishes look appealing and are properly labeled
Monitor food temperatures and report any issues to the kitchen staff
Help guests with any questions about food items or ingredients
Assist guests with carrying plates if needed, especially for those requiring assistance
Ensure guests have necessary utensils, napkins, and condiments
Keep buffet stations clean, wiping down surfaces and replacing serving utensils regularly
Remove empty or unappealing food items and replace them promptly
Monitor and restock plates, bowls, and silverware at serving stations
Communicate with kitchen staff about food levels and refills
Work with servers to clear tables and reset seating areas for new guests
Ensure food safety and sanitation guidelines are followed at all times
Qualifications:
No experience is necessary - this is the perfect position for a student looking for a summer job or weekend work throughout the year!
Able to stand, walk, and carry trays or food items for extended periods.
Keeps buffet stocked, organized, and visually appealing
Friendly and approachable, ready to assist guests
Works well with kitchen staff, servers, and other team members
On-the-job training provided
